Strategic goals

  • Improving the level and offer of education in cooperation with the economic environment;
  • Ensuring an appropriate level of student recruitment to the programmes offered at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Opole;
  • Intensifying cooperation with secondary schools from the Opole Voivodeship and neighbouring voivodeships;

Strategic activities

  • Expanding and making the educational offer more attractive by:
    • launch of new fields of study with a practical profile: logistics – second-cycle studies, geography first and second cycle – teacher training studies, tourism and recreation – first-cycle studies
    • modification of selected existing study programmes to studies with a practical profile,
    • creation of new educational modules in currently existing fields of study;
  • Expanding the offer of postgraduate studies, enabling the achievement of learning outcomes consistent with the needs of the labor market;
  • Increasing the certification of courses offered at the Faculty of Economics;
  • Providing patronage to secondary school classes with an economic profile;
  • Conducting lectures and workshops for secondary school students;
  • Organizing a series of open lectures conducted by specialists from the economic environment,
  • Periodic preparation of internship and work placement offers for students in cooperation with the economic environment.

Most important achievements

  • The Faculty of Economics is the only public university in the region that offers education in Finance and Accounting at first and second cycle levels;
  • The Faculty of Economics is an Accredited Examination Centre for obtaining the European Business Competence* Licence (EBC*L);
  • The Faculty of Economics is authorized to conduct an exam that allows obtaining a TransEdu certificate;
  • The Faculty of Economics is an annual co-organizer of the International Day of GIS Technology – GIS Day.
